Alkali draba
Cusickiella douglasii
Brassicaceae
[Named for William Conklin Cusick, 1842-1922]

Undetermined rock-cress hybrid
Boechera sp.
Brassicaceae

[Wayne Armstrong has photographed the pollen grains and they are spherical, which
seems to suggest that this is a hybrid of one of the former B. holboellii complex and
something else. The Boechera taxa are apparently notorious for their hybridizing.]

Photograph taken by Wayne Armstrong of pollen grains of the Boechera from
Pebble Plains. This species is a triploid hybrid probably from the diploid Boechera retrofracta and some other unknown parent. This is the taxon that has been identified routinely in the San Bernardinos and San Jacintos as B. holboellii but now must await further work before the assigning of a taxonomic name.
