Photographs by Michael Charters

Grinnell Ridge is about 1-1/2 miles north of South Fork Meadows, along the Lost Creek Trail which runs from the South Fork Trail 5.3 miles to South Fork Campground on SR 38. The trail first crosses the headwaters of the Santa Ana River and then switchbacks easily up to the ridge at an elevation of about 8100'. Grinnell Ridge overlooks Poopout Hill.
