Halloween 2003

We had rain on and off for a week before Halloween which necessitated
covering everything with plastic sheeting and the front porch display
collapsed once under the weight of water and had to be reconstructed.
Then on Halloween itself there was a light rain throughout much of the
evening, but it didn't seem to dampen the enthusiasm of the 1000 or so
trick-or-treaters who came for a look and a piece of candy. The fortune
telling booth barely survived and had to have water bailed off its fragile
roof as the night wore on, but nevertheless I think the display was one
of my best and received many compliments.
